How to: Remove Radioisotopes

Q. My customer needs a radioactive decontaminant. Is it possible to use one of Alconox detergents? I know some of them have application on nuclear segment, but I don’t know if it is considered radioactive decontaminant.

A. To remove radioisotopes (both heavy metal and radiolabeled carbon or nitrogen) use 1% Alconox detergent (10 g/L) for manual, soak or ultrasonic cleaning.
