Q: We would like assistance with art restoration and cleaning.  Our customers are cleaning paintings from soot and other environmental pollutants. What might you recommend?

A: For cleaning and art restoration of paintings, we would recommend a gentle yet highly effective detergent, Liquinox® Critical Cleaning Liquid Detergent.  You can use it on both classic and modern paintings.  We would recommend a 0.5% solution on a swab followed by purified water and a dry swab.  A lighter than usual concentration will allow for easier removal of detergent and residuals.  You might consider using a swab for cleaning and rinsing.
