Q. Currently I am not using a cleaner, just mechanical cleaning with water. I am cleaning batch tanks used to produce colloidal silver. The only two ingredients in the tank are pure silver electrodes and distilled water. The cleaner needs to be FDA-approved for internal use after the cleaning cycle.

A. For manual or mechanical cleaning, we suggest you clean with a 0.5-1% Liquinox solution (5-10 mL/L) followed by a deionized water rinse for colloidal silver residue removal.  It is a powerful emulsifier in a liquid concentrate form for easy formulation.  Percent concentration relates directly to capacity or amount of residue the detergent solution can remove.

Liquinox® Critical Cleaning Liquid Detergent can certainly be used to clean medical devices where the FDA regulation require cleaning validations. The detergent has been used for critical cleaning applications for decades across many FDA regulated industries,  Liquinox cleaner is also suitable for food contact surface cleaning where it is followed by a potable water rinse.

We are happy support you on your validation as well.  Our white papers are a great place to start for reference info: alconoxwhitepaper.com
