Cleaning Laboratory Glassware for LC/MS

Q. What is the best way to clean LC/MS glassware?

Here is an excerpt of our procedure:

  1. Presoak all glassware and equipment as soon after use as is feasible in an ambient temperature 1% Liquinox solution (10 mL/L). Allow to soak until ready for washing.  Note: Liquinox detergent does not contain any polyethylene glycol or cationic surfactant sticky substances that sometimes cause interfering residues on glassware.
  2. Make a fresh warm or hot (40-60°C) 1% solution of Liquinox (10 mL/L) for washing when ready to wash. Do not use too much detergent as this can make rinsing more difficult.
  3. Transfer items from presoak to the… Contact us at cleaning@alconox.com for the full procedure.
