Q. We are a large energy company working with algae. It is proving tough to remove from glass and labware. We are using Liquinox detergent currently, which is good. Anything better? Eventually we would like to move to cleaning these in our washer.
A. Algae, and the viscous oils that you are working with, require not just powerful emulsifiers….
Q: We are looking for a phosphate free detergent to comply with the EPA document SESDPROC-205-R3 Field Equipment Cleaning and Decontamination.
A: On the EPA government website, for field equipment cleaning and decontamination, the following statement is made: Detergent shall be a standard brand of phosphate-free laboratory detergent such as Liquinox® or Luminox®.
Q. Can we send back empty Alcotabs jars for re-use?
A. Alcotabs® Tablet Pipet Detergent is indeed a great product and ideal for siphon pipette washers and similar applications where an effervescing detergent is required. We very much echo your sentiment for reusing wherever possible. After all, we live and breathe effective, critical cleaning!
We’re an environmental lab and need a detergent that can remove organic and inorganic residue while also being as green as possible. We had heard Liquinox or Luminox might be good choices. Which would be better? Are there other recommendations as well?
