Cleaning with Minimal Insect Toxicity

Q. We are looking for cleaners that are minimally toxic or non-toxic to insects while effectively cleaning and removing biological debris, sugar, and pathogens.

A. Thank you for your request for a detergent that is minimally or non-toxic to insects. We regret to inform you that we do not have insect toxicity studies for our detergents. The mammalian and systemic toxicity information that we do have, however, shows that Liquinox® is very low in toxicity.

Removing Trace Contaminants of Phenol

Q. We are attempting to validate our glassware washing process and found trace contaminants of phenol remaining after the washing process. Is there another detergent that is able to remove phenol better then Liquinox®?

A. In general, for manual cleaning, Liquinox® should be an excellent choice for removal of phenol residues. For very low level trace analysis, additional rinsing may be required. For routine laboratory cleaning, a triple rinse is typically used. For trace analysis, a 6 time rinse with purified water is typically used. For extreme low level trace analysis . . .

Cleaning Radioactive Containment Surfaces

Q. I need to clean radioactive nuclear power plant containment surfaces and equipment. Wondering what cleaning reference documents you may have.

Cleaning Soft Water Storage Tank

Q. Need to clean a 10,000 gal fiberglass soft water storage tank with minimal downtime. Will be using a power washer to apply cleaning solution. Unsure of what cleaner to use.
A. Flood the surface of the tank with a 2% Citrajet solution to remove water scale and stains using the low pressure detergent dose setting on the power washer. Rinse thoroughly using the high pressure, water-only rinse setting using potable water for the rinse.
