Learn the proper way to make a 1% detergent solution by following these four simple steps. To make a 2% detergent solution, simply double up the amount! Alconox, LLC aqueous detergents are sold in concentrate. To use, dilute according to package instructions. Most Alconox, LLC products require only a 1-2% dilution for optimal use.
Q: I understand that Nochromix is no longer available and I am to contact Alconox, LLC for a replacement?
A: That is correct. Godax Laboratories has discontinued NOCHROMIX® cleaner. You may reach them at Godaxsales@gmail.com. Note all NOCHROMIX® packages have a 2 year from the date of manufacture shelf life. The date of manufacture can be found printed on each packet.
Q: Many of your Tergazyme related TechNotes and recommendations include warm temperatures. Warm temperatures can still denature some hormones and proteins thus causing cleaning problems. I would probably start with a cool (room temp or cooler) rinse (water). Then move to the 1-2% cleaning solution in warmer temperatures. Agreed?
Q: What can we do to replace n-propyl bromide? We are cleaning grease and oil from stainless steel. We had heard Citranox might do the job well.
A: The compound n-propyl bromide is often used in vapor degreasing and is considered to be associated with some serious health risks and is hazardous. We would certainly recommend you switch to a drain-safe, biodegradable, aqueous detergents.
Making detergent solution (1%) of powdered detergent such as Alconox or Tergazyme, you can make your solutions by weight or by volume.
