We have a glass wash machine and use Alcojet for it. We would like to know if you need to include a neutralizing agent like Citrajet as part of the wash cycle (acid rinse)? Alcojet® Low Foaming Powdered Detergent is what we would call free-rinsing, meaning it rinses completely away with water without rinse aids.
Q. We are attempting to validate our glassware washing process and found trace contaminants of phenol remaining after the washing process. Is there another detergent that is able to remove phenol better then Liquinox®?
A. In general, for manual cleaning, Liquinox® should be an excellent choice for removal of phenol residues. For very low level trace analysis, additional rinsing may be required. For routine laboratory cleaning, a triple rinse is typically used. For trace analysis, a 6 time rinse with purified water is typically used. For extreme low level trace analysis . . .
Q: We’re looking for a detergent solution like Liqui-Jet™2 Instrument Detergent by Steris. We need it to clean the drain in our microbiology autoclave, so it should be able to target any media or agar that may be clogging the drain.…
Q. We are looking for a product that is phosphate-free to use in our automatic microplate washer. Currently we use Tergazyme. Removal of salts and antibodies (proteins) needed. Liquid preferred.
A. For automated cleaning of microplates use phosphate-free, low foaming liquid Solujet® for cleaning. Solujet® contains chelating agents that can remove salts and high alkalinity for alkaline hydrolysis and cleaning of proteins.
Q. After several cleanings, the tanks are still dirty and we are getting films. What do you recommend?
A. Films on tanks can be attributable to several possible sources. You should contact Alconox technical support to review your situation to get a more customized recommendation to your situation.
