Q. I was curious if Solujet and Liquinox are interchangeable? We are a medical device company that currently uses Liquinox to wash glassware by hand, but recently got a Miele glassware washer and want to use an Alconox product in it.
A. Solujet will give comparable cleaning performance in a Miele washer to manual cleaning with Liquinox. For critical cleaning, it would be desirable to add a Citrajet acid rinse to the Miele washer to get the best and most comparable results. Machine cleaning mechanisms are very different than manual cleaning, so the chemicals used are not identical, and the rinse processes are different. Machine cleaning tends to form alkaline scale residues that require an acid rinse to remove, which is why you would want the Citrajet. See our Labwasher Guide that has some information to help you get the most out of your Miele washer.
