Enzymes Disolved

Q: We are considering using an ultrasonic bath to assist in dissolution of Tergazyme into distilled water and had suspicions if the enzyme would remain workable after this process. Do you have any information on enzymes in ultrasonic conditions?

A: Yes indeed.  Tergazyme detergent is formulated, designed and used throughout the world in ultrasonic applications.   The key is to ensure the temperature is kept ≤55C and the detergent solution used within 8 hours have making into formulation.  Both will ensure that the enzymes are not degraded.  How Does Tergazyme Enzyme Detergent Work?

In theory, protein (enzymes are of course proteins), can be denatured at very high frequency.  However, the types of ultrasonic frequencies commonly used for cleaning, 40-60 kHz are not an issue.  In fact the synergy in Tergazyme detergent of ultrasonic mechanical action, chelation, emulsification, and of course enzymatic action, create a proven, powerful cleaner for even the most adherent biologic and related proteinaceous residues.
