Q: We already recommend Tergazyme for many of our customers (brewery).  But do you have any recommendations for SCUBA equipment after use? Lots of salt water exposure.   Is there anything you would recommend to soak dive equipment in?

A:  If Tergazyme® Enzyme-Active Powdered Detergent is in play already via ease of selling/recommending to them, or if your customers have it, by all means that would be a fine choice to clean SCUBA and Buoyancy Compensator Devices, for both fresh and sea water.

The powerful emulsifiers in Tergazyme detergent will take care of organic build up, the proteases for the bioorganic films, and inorganic residues can be chelated by the detergent as well.  If a liquid concentrate is preferred, Liquinox® Critical Cleaning Liquid Detergent will be a fine choice.

If there is any serious amounts of salt or oxidation buildup on the parts, a soak Citranox® Liquid Acid Cleaner and Detergent would be the answer as acidic cleaners best handle inorganic residues.

If a low foaming detergent is required, Alcojet® Low Foaming Powdered Detergent or Citrajet® Low-Foam Liquid Acid Cleaner/Rinse.  The latter to again handle inorganics.

In all cases 1-2% warm solutions and thorough rinsing.  Once cleaned, disinfection efforts can then, and only then, begin.
