Q. We cannot determine residues or validate our current detergent. We are choosing a new detergent that cleans protein and this detergent must be neutral to titanium. We don’t want corrosion trouble. The titanium equipment’s manufacturer recommends to use neutral detergents when cleaning.
A. While much titanium equipment can be cleaned with non-neutral detergents, if the specific manufacturer recommends a neutral range detergent we can certainly suggest one. We recommend cleaning with a 1% Liquinox solution which has a neutral range pH of 8.5.
