Cleaning a Dry Powder V-Mixer

We are cleaning a V Mixer made of NSF Stainless steel and we are using it to mix different protein powders, amino acids, and herbs for dietary supplements. It is small enough to be cleaned by hand but not small enough for any type of sink. I was advised to buy your Citranox product. Is that the best detergent for this job?

Cleaning Protein in Pharmaceutical and Biotech Manufacturing

Q. How do you remove protein out of pipes, centrifuges and tanks in a CIP environment with water temperatures averaging 20C?

A. In a cooler temperature environment, consider adding an enzymatic cleaner to your alkaline/acidic CIP routine. A product like Tergazyme® Enzyme-Active Powdered Detergent, which contains both protease and surfactants, is not only efficient at removing the biofilm, but will also slow down the formation of biofilm and allow the regular cleaning cycle to clean effectively for more cycles.

Pharmaceutical Cleaning & Rinsing

Q. What is the proper way to rinse after using Alconox detergents?
A. In pharmaceutical cleaning, running water rinse for at least 10 seconds on each surface is desirable. Not all rinse water is created equal. Learn More.
