Alconox and Environmental Safety

Q. I will be sampling sediments in a lake with a drilling unit. I am wondering if Alconox is harmful to the environment. i.e. if it got into the lake, is there a possibility of harm? I plan on using it to rinse drill bits. Also, what concentration is typical?

Ultrasonic Tank Cleaning

Using Liquinox as Stainless Steel Cleaner

Q. We are considering using a Liquinox solution for our cleaning needs. We will be cleaning stainless steel from the residues of oils etc. We will be cleaning using an ultrasonic bath. Can you recommend a concentration, time and temperature?

Cleaning Basal Media in a Large Tank

Q. Could you please recommend a minimum Solujet concentration, temperature and time for use with a CIP system to wash a large mixing tank dedicated to manufacturing DMEM-F12 basal media.
A. Without actually doing a study with your exact sprayballs and flow rates, I cannot give you precise time, temperatures and concentrations. I can give you some guidelines based on general experience with medical device cleaning validation.

Removing Ester Oil lubricants and Brass Particulates

Q. I’m doing electronic cleaning and I’d like to test a detergent sample for a project that requires a non-residue flushant for an aluminum gearbox with brass gears. During the burn-in phase, the gear box accumulates brass particles. After burn-in, this sealed gearbox is drained of the ester oil lubricant and flushed with solvent to assist in removal of the brass residue. The unit is then filled with fresh lubricant and shipped to the customer. We wish to replace the solvent to be in advance compliance with California VOC rules.

New Fryer? Nope. Just Clean!

A Food service company in Missouri used Alconox for the first time to clean their kitchen’s deep fryer.
According to Janet, the shift manager, “The build up on our fryers was very bad as it had not been deep cleaned for about 2 years. We used Alconox and it was amazing. All the black buildup came off and the fryer looks new.”
Cleaning a fryer with Alconox is simple.
