Q. Titanium prosthetic implantable joints need to be cleaned prior to coating and prior to final cleaning for packaging. What do we use?

A. A 1% mild alkaline Liqui-nox solution at 130 deg F followed by a brief distilled water rinse, followed by a 2% acid Citranox solution at 130 deg F are used for ultrasonic surface preparation of these implantable medical devices prior to coating. The same process is used as a final clean for the parts.
