Q. I have a client that wants to clean smocks / aprons being worn in a fish processing plant. Do you have a product that can be used to remove blood / protein stains?

A. You can use Tergazyme to remove blood stains from the smocks in this fish processing plant. In general you would soak in a warm (not exceeding 130 deg F – ideally at 110-120 deg F) of freshly diluted 1% Tergazyme (you must use it within 8 hours of diluting it) solution (1.25 oz/gal or 10 g/L). Rinse thoroughly. If you are simply soaking, a little scrubbing with a stiff brush will help. Typically you would soak for 20 minutes. In a typical household laundry machine, you would use 1/4 cup of Tergazyme. In a larger commercial sized machine you might use 1/2 cup of Tergazyme.
