We’re excited to share that Michael Moussourakis, Vice President of Strategy at Alconox, LLC will be presenting at the Parts Cleaning Conference 2026 (PCC26), taking place in person at the Hilton Columbus Downtown in Columbus, OH, July 8–9, 2026 (with a pre-conference workshop on July 7).
Michael kicks off Module 1: Advances in Aqueous Cleaning as the lead presenter, immediately following the opening keynote. His session, “CIP Detergents and pH: To Hazmat or not to Hazmat,” runs Wednesday, July 8 from 10:00–10:30 AM.
The session covers the fundamentals of aqueous cleaning chemistry and detergency, with a close look at automated Clean-In-Place (CIP) methods — including surfactant types, related chemistries, and the practical pros and cons of different approaches. Michael will also present what he calls a “lifestyle approach” to cleaning validation: a framework that emphasizes the critical steps before, during, and after the cleaning process itself, not just the cleaning step in isolation. The session closes with a real-world case study on the automated cleaning validation of a dermatological product, walking through residue detection methods for both the product residue and the detergent.
For anyone working in industrial parts cleaning — whether in automotive, aerospace, medical, or general manufacturing — this session offers grounded, practical insight into how aqueous cleaning programs are designed, validated, and sustained. It’s the kind of knowledge that translates directly to cleaner parts, more defensible processes, and fewer compliance headaches.
The Parts Cleaning Conference is organized by Gardner Business Media and brings together parts cleaning professionals over three days to explore the latest advancements in cleaning technology, process innovation, and regulatory compliance. It’s an in-person event, which means real conversations with peers and experts on the floor — something we always value.
