Q. A great deal or our instruments are manufactured from 17-4PH Stainless Steel. Our cleaning technician claims this material is corroding. I read the rinsing information recomending using a lower temperature for the 1% Alconox mixture. Is this a common issue with 17-4PH and are we using the wrong cleaning product or missing something?
Q. Which Alconox cleaners can manually remove Amikacin Sulphate? A. Amikacin Sulphate is soluble to 1.85X10E5 mg/L, contains amine functional groups and glycoside linkages therefore it is best cleaned by acid. Citranox would be the first choice for this pharmaceutical cleaning.
Q. We are finding rust particles in our solution containment filter. There is a steel component in the tank that we oil after flushing part with water
A. It sounds like you need to do a final rinse with deionized or distilled water . . .

The Solution: Use neutral pH non-corrosive Luminox hospital detergent . . .
