Q: We recently read about Alnochromix cleaner.  What are the Alnochromix applications to target for the product?

Q: We are cleaning aluminum parts in a conveyor type washer.  What would be the recommended detergent for removing general residues?

A: Conveyor washer systems allow for cleaning of mass produced parts, often uniform, to be cleaned efficiently and repeatedly.  For cleaning general residues from aluminum in an automated conveyor washer, which usually takes a liquid concentrate, I would recommend warm 1-2% Solujet® Low-Foaming Phosphate-Free Liquid.  It is safe on aluminum and used throughout the world for general residue cleaning in automated systems.

Q. We are working on a new system designed to clean large solar arrays. We would like to develop a cleaner for our particular use in our solar wash system that produces an easy to maintain surface to keep module output at a maximum.

A. Installed solar arrays and panels operate at peak efficiency when they are clean. Dirt, grime, bird droppings and dust can degrade the performance of solar panels. To remove residues, use a 0.5 – 1% solution of Liquinox neutral range detergent (5 -10 ml/L or 0.65 – 1.25 oz/gallon).
