Liquinox vs. Citranox

Liquinox vs. Citranox

Q:  What is the difference between Liquinox vs. Citranox?  We are using Liquinox for many of our applications but are having trouble with stainless steel cleaning cannulas with a small ID.  Is Citranox the answer if the residue is inorganic?

A: Although Liquinox detergent is excellent at cleaning a host of residues, Citranox cleaner is indeed the better choice if we are fairly certain this is a largely inorganic residue.

Cleaning Solar Panels with Minimal Water

Q. How to clean installed solar panels using minimum amounts of water.

A. For field cleaning of solar modules I recommend using Liquinox detergent. This is a concentrate that would be used at a 1% solution (1.25 oz/gal, or 10 mL/L). Liquinox is not harmful to discharge onto the ground in an agricultural setting.

Aluminum Parts

Cleaning Aluminum in an Automated Conveyor Washer

Q: We are cleaning aluminum parts in a conveyor type washer.  What would be the recommended detergent for removing general residues?

A: Conveyor washer systems allow for cleaning of mass produced parts, often uniform, to be cleaned efficiently and repeatedly.  For cleaning general residues from aluminum in an automated conveyor washer, which usually takes a liquid concentrate, I would recommend warm 1-2% Solujet® Low-Foaming Phosphate-Free Liquid.  It is safe on aluminum and used throughout the world for general residue cleaning in automated systems.
