Removing Eudragit from Equipment

Eudragit brand coloring agents from Roehm GmbH & Co for coating tablets can be very difficult to clean from tablet coating equipment. Different Eudragits need different types of cleaning agents. Some require acid cleaners with wetting agents and dispersants, and some require alkaline cleaners with wetting agents and dispersants.

By consulting the Alconox Detergent Selection Guide, you can view the pharmaceutical cleaners section and see which brand of Eudragit is best cleaned by which brand of cleaner. For Eudragit E, R, RS or E100, you should use Citranox for immersion cleaning or Citrajet for spray wash cleaning. For Eudragit L, S, L30, D55, and NE30D you should use Liquinox for immersion cleaning and Solujet for spray wash cleaning.
