Q. Our customer wants to replace Dove hand soap and requires ACDF (animal free derivative) if possible to clean stainless steel. Is Alconox ACDF?

A. Thanks for your question about an animal derivative free cleaner to replace Dove Hand Soap.

All Alconox, Inc. cleaners are free of animal derived ingredients. In general, to replace Dove Hand Soap, I would recommend using Liquinox detergent.  It will work as a stainless steel cleaner and will remove oils from stainless steel surfaces by soaking or manual cleaning.

Typically to remove oils from stainless steel, you use a 1% warm solution of Liquinox (1.25 oz/gal or 10 mL/L) to soak and clean with followed by a thorough rinse. If you prefer using a powdered detergent you can use a warm 1% Alconox solution instead of Liquinox. Either one will work fine.

If you’d like more data on Liquinox or Alconox, please click to download these detergent’s technical bulletin and/or Material Data Safety Sheet (MSDS).
